Overview

Eytam ("we", "us") operates the Eytam family of products: Eytam, a child-facing chat experience with built-in safety protections, and Eytam Hub, the parent companion app used to manage profiles, pairing, alerts, and subscriptions.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, what we share with third parties (including AI providers), and the choices available to parents, guardians, and users.

Designed for child privacy

Eytam is built so parents can stay informed without reading their child's private chats. Eytam Hub does not display, export, or provide access to the full text of your child's conversations.

Conversations in the Eytam child app are private between the child and the assistant. If our safety systems detect a concern that matches your family's alert settings, a parent or guardian may receive a notification about the character of the issue—for example the alert type and severity—not the message content itself.

Information we collect

Parent account data (Eytam Hub): name, email address, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.

Child profile data: nickname, age or age group, optional profile details, and data needed to pair a child device with a parent account.

Conversation data (Eytam child app): messages, voice recordings, and images you send are processed to provide replies and to run safety checks. Content is not shared with parents through Eytam Hub as a chat transcript.

Safety event data: when a rule triggers, we may record alert category, timestamp, severity, linked child profile, and a brief system-generated summary of the nature of the concern.

Technical data: device identifiers needed for pairing, session management, push notification tokens, app version, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

Subscription data: purchase status and entitlement information processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat.

How we use information

To provide chat responses and app functionality in Eytam.

To operate Eytam Hub features such as profiles, device pairing, activity feed, alert delivery, and subscription management.

To apply content and safety protections configured by a parent or guardian.

To send parents alerts only when safety rules are triggered.

To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability of the service.

We do not sell personal information.

Third-party analytics and advertising

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, or similar advertising analytics tools) in our apps.

We do not show third-party advertising in Eytam or Eytam Hub, and we do not use ad networks.

Third-party AI (OpenAI)

Eytam uses OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C., openai.com) as a third-party AI provider. Before a child uses chat features in the Eytam app, we show an in-app disclosure that explains what data may be sent, identifies OpenAI as the recipient, and asks for explicit permission before any personal data is shared with OpenAI.

Data that may be sent to OpenAI includes: chat messages (text), voice recordings the user sends, photos or images attached in chat, image-generation prompts when the user requests image creation, the child profile nickname and age group, and technical session identifiers needed to operate the chat.

OpenAI processes this data only to provide chat replies, image generation when requested, and automated safety analysis on our behalf. Under our API agreement, data sent through the OpenAI API is not used by OpenAI to train their public models.

Parents and guardians do not receive full chat transcripts in Eytam Hub. When safety rules trigger, parents may receive alerts describing the nature of a concern—not the full message content.

Other service providers

We use trusted processors to host infrastructure, deliver push and email notifications, process subscriptions (including Apple, Google, and RevenueCat), and support safety analysis. These providers may process limited data only to perform services on our behalf and under contractual safeguards.

Message content may be processed transiently to apply safety checks and generate responses. It is not made available to parents through Eytam Hub as a full chat history.

Children and parental consent

Eytam is intended for use by children only under a parent or legal guardian account. The parent creates and manages child profiles, pairs devices, and controls alert and protection settings in Eytam Hub.

By using Eytam Hub, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child profile linked to your account, or that you have authority to provide consent on their behalf where required by law.

Explicit in-app permission is requested in the Eytam child app before chat data is sent to OpenAI, as described above.

Retention and security

We retain account, profile, and alert metadata for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, support safety features, and comply with legal obligations.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Eytam Hub subscriptions

Subscription purchase status and entitlement information are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We receive information needed to activate or restore Premium access for your family account—not your full payment card details.

Eytam Hub Premium is an auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (Android).

See our Terms of Use for additional subscription and billing terms, including Apple's Licensed Application EULA for App Store purchases.

Your choices and rights

Parents may manage profiles, pairing, notification preferences, and protection settings in Eytam Hub.

You can permanently delete a child profile and its associated data from Settings → Data & Information → Delete profile in the Eytam child app.

You can permanently delete your Eytam Hub parent account from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the Eytam Hub app.

Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. Contact us to exercise those rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the apps or by email where appropriate.
